Aquilegias/Columbine

 Karma's Kolumbine Season has started:

As you can see we have lots of Fairy Flowers!!

I have been busy collecting the Kolumbine seeds!!

If you are interested in seeds let us know.  I have

several mixtures and some of the special ones

I have just gathered them  separately.

 More will be added.

Several Folks Have Asked...........

if I have plants available. 

I usually post on the Portland's 

Craigslist when I have plants for

sale.

This year I'm unable to dig up the 

wisteria I had planned on selling

but if you want to dig, let me know

and you can have first pick.  They are

just now leafing out.

Due to the Postal Rate hikes I will not

be shipping this year!

  

Opening The Gardens 2024

 April 15th is our normal time to 

open our gardens but this year we

are still trying to get the yard in 

shape for visitors.   It will be by

appointment only this year!

We have been watching folks walk

past and as you can see we have been

working hard to get it into shape.

This past weekend the first of the 

Brugmansia were pulled from the

Brug House where they winter.  I

will be replacing some of the buckets

this year and it takes time to do so. I

will also be cutting some of them back.

The yard is starting to come alive!

April Cleanup 2024

 4/6/2024

I took 1/2 bag off Sable's area and

to the west of the Shed, pine needles!

4/09/2024-4/15/2024

The Maple seeds are starting to fall.  Each

day I'm picking up 1/4 of a bucket.  Not only

that but the pine seeds are also dropping, 

which means they need to be picked up 

and the circle blown out.  Weekly to keep

them out of our yard.

4/19/2024

I took 1/2 bag off Sables area of pine

needles.  As I finished the wind kicked

up to 45 mph and the plastic came off the 

greenhouse.  So I guess I'll be cleaning

the pollen off the greenhouse on Sat.

4/20/2024

Again today after the wind storm of yesterday

I pickup a 1/2 bag of pine debris that blew 

into our yard.  What a mess.  Then I got the plastic

back up after washing down the greenhouse, it was

green!

4/22/2024

We took a full bucket off the gutters of the house

and shed.  The east gutters on the shed were totally

full!   The roof on the shed on the east side was 

green!!

A Day Of Rain!!

 A nice day to watch movies and

rest as the out side is a huge mess!

Staying dry is the key for today.
