Terra Nova's Snowbank, our first plant.   We have had
6 and currently have our 7th.  We lost the others a few
years ago when our electric went out during the winter
months.

Our favorite photo of Datura Missouri Marble as it's
starts to open.

Our west garden bed when we had the Brugmansias
in the ground.  At that time we had 130 varieties.  The
gental giant to the front right is our B. Hunter another
cross from B. Shorty's variegated.

Our Gardens Will Open In April

We don't open the gardens until after the last date of frost,
April 15th!!  It will be by appointment only.  Remember
we are a working garden as we test plants for other hybridizers
around the world.

If you plan to visit, masks are required and only a couple folks
at a time.

Terra Nova's Reverse Variegated Sport 2020

I also posted the sport we are watching on the TNN's Reverse
variegated, which we have had since 2003.  We are testing this
one and it's my understanding that TNN will not release this one.

B. Shorty's Variegated 2020 Sport

I posted photos of the new sport that B. Shorty's Variegated has
thrown off this winter.   I think it's time to put it on here.

3/1/2020 we cut this sport and will attempt to root it.  The stalk is
green not the normal yellow albino sport, so we are going
to give it a try.

February 2020

Time to get the moss control out or spray for moss.  Also start pulling the weeds!

We have started to mow here, between the rain showers.

We have also started to fertilize all the flower beds for the spring season
flowers.

We are surprised to see the peonies are popping up and we have noted the
tree peony is starting to leaf out. Our first Daffs are blooming.

Our last date of Frost for our area is April 15th so don't get in to big of hurry to plant!!

January 2020

I have been asked to write about what we do each month to maintain our yard:

January is a low key month with mowing, weed pulling, trimming what didn't get done last
fall, moss control, and planning this year's garden.

Then there is the starting of seeds!

Here they come!!

Note the albino seedlings, this is why we do not
release any of the B.Shorty's seeds.  Not to many
folks understand albino plants. In a week these will
be ready to transplant into their own containers.

Update on seedlings:

Had a lot of die back on these, most of the albinos are
gone and as you can see in the photo some have started
to die back.

If you are interested in the new seedlings check back in
the fall as to what is available.  By then they should be
big enough to ship.  We tried sending a few out and they
were just to small and didn't make the trip.
