Returning

 8/8/2022

I returned the Brugmanisa to the front
yard after being stripped of a lot of leaves.
They were just a mess being on the north
side of the house.  Smoke and Brugmansia
are not a good thing!   I wish I could plant
them in their original garden spot but to
much second hand smoke!!   The ones
left on the driveway are doing much better
than the ones on the north side of the house.

All I can say is if smoke damages plants,
what is it doing to the human body?

A Little Relief!!

Cloudy and 63 degrees this am with
a few sprinkles!!    But again they say
90s first of next week.  Whom ever is
hogging the real rain, please return it
to the PNW, we need it badly!!  We need
to wash the smokey air out of here.

Round 3 Heat Wave!

Again we are to have yet another heatwave!
It has been so nice and cool these past couple
days.  Are you ready or have you given up
on the yard?

We here are cutting back those plants that
have completed their bloom cycle and
instead of watching them fry, they are
being cut back.

Stay cool!!

Hot Week!!

Way above normal temps and all one
can do it water and watch what the heat
is doing to the plants!!   I'm glad I cut
the Clematis back and repotted some
of the other plants in larger pots!  I
started cutting back the plants that are
done and it's really been helpful not
see them fry!    Lots of plants were
put in the Brug House due to it's much
cooler in there.   Stay cool!!

Again Our Gardens

Will be closed due to the high temps!

We have currently move all the brugmansia
to the north side of the house in the shade
to make sure they don't get more damage
from the heat.

101 degrees on Tuesday......send the
rain back please!!

Newest Clematis

Today was my day to take the one gallon
newest babies from fall and the first of
this year and bump them up into 3 gallon
pots.  Here is the finish Setup for them.

The ones I got in the fall were cut back
and the younger ones were let go to grow.

A couple weeks ago I started the summer cut
back and I'm already seeing new growth.

We have had some hot weather so I tend
to do the cut back after the 4th of July and
if you do so make sure you fertilizer with
a 20/20/20 fertilizer.  I do this weekly and
when they are around a few feet tall then
I'll switch to a bloom booster.

Here are our two largest
ones all cut back!

5 more to go and 3 will need
larger pots!

A grower suggested tree
sleeves on a group I belong
to so I decided to give it
a try due to having to cut
pots from some of the ones
I just potted up.   Here is
the newest Clematis in
a tree sleeve and potted
into a larger pot.

Today I posted this on the FB
clematis group and I hope this
helps others.

7/17/2022

Today I finally got to finish
the cut back on all the Clematis.

Here is the last one.

She was a small plant when I
put her in the one gallon pot
in April.  She was a cutting off
one plant that I lost.  She was
given the right spot in the hosta
pot by the front door, morning
sun and afternoon shade.

Here is her bloom.

I took cutting and keep your toes crossed
that they take off!!
