Air Quality Is Bad!

Since we are in the hazard area for
the next 24 hours it's time to get the
stitching out and see if I can start a
new one. So much smoke/smog!

8/11/2024

Nice breezy day and the Wild Fire Smoke
cleared out.....Nope!   Neighbors thought
they would burn!  Who cares if we have
to breath your smoke??

So my questions is do we sue them or
so we sue the County for allowing
firepits or open burning?

9/6/2024

They are advising folks with health issues
to limit their time outside.  One of those
days you want to wear a mask outside!
Some of the photos in Portland looked
really thick smoke.

The Kiss of Death!

I removed two nests today and they
keep coming back to the front door
area.  Keeping the Epi Pen handy!

8/10/2024

After knocking down the nests 4 times
yesterday, I hope the problem with the
wasps has resolved it's self.   This
morning no nest or wasps were found.

Why the title?  For the past 3 years I
have been getting venom shots due
to stepping on a hornet's nest and
being covered from head to toe with
stings.  The smartest thing I did was
pull the stingers out, take a cold
shower and take Benadryl before
heading to the Urgency Clinic when
my DH got home to take me.  Where
I got a couple shots of steroids and
they wanted to book me into the hospital
over a holiday.  Nope!!  I spent the weekend
resting and they checked in that next Monday
to see how I was doing.  I now have to carry
an epi pen!

8/7/2024 Brugmansia Corner

Bud Watch!  Here they come!

8/18/2024

Today was my day to work on some
of the brugs.  Above you saw what
we call our Brug Corner, well it was
time to remove some leaves and
rearrange.

I had a request for a photo of each that makes
up the Brug Corner.  So here is some photos
of those before the clean up.

The one in the pink pot has a nice
Albino sport.

This one has several Albino Sports
with one having albino buds.

It's base has several Albino Sports.

Several folks wanted to see what
we have in the yard.  Let me tell
you I took the loppers to them
prior to my May surgery as I knew
I wouldn't be able to take care of
them all.  To my surprise they
don't look all that bad.  They too
need a thinning of the leaves.  Some
of them are starting to show buds.

That should give you a look at our Brugmansia
Collection.

A Friend's Request!

They have seen the photos on
my FB page and asked if I would
take some time and post the awesome
ones here.  I don't leave anything on
my FB page, so they thought it would
be nice to just put up some of the photos
here on the blog.  So I have 6 months of
photos to go through to fine the best of
the best, in my spare time.  Will post as
I go through each folder for this year.

Will post some when I have time.

July 28 - August 3, 2024 / Useless Information

On average each day while you
were awake, you spent 16 hours
and 40 minutes more NOT using
your phone than using it!

See I'm a busy person!

So how many of you spend your
day on your phone?

Another notice saying I'm 15
hours 55 minutes-- 45 minutes
less than last week.

Perennial Hibiscus Time!

This is what was found last night, first
but to unfurl.  I'll get a photo this morning
if they are open.
