They Say 70s Today.....

Before we drop back to the 50s for a
few more cooler and wet days!  A great
day to get out and work in the yard.

What A Weekend!!

We were able to get out into the yard
and get the tarp off the red gazebo. So
more of the fir chips can be vac up and
I need to get them out of the shrubs
where they are just loaded.  After many
rain delays you would think Mother
Nature would help get them out but
they are crammed in the stalks and
leaves.  Not even the wind has shaken
them loose.   DH when he was getting
the tarp weights up over the fence
stated you should see the mess over
on their side.  I just laughed when they
offered to come clean up!!  It is truly
time to take them back to court!!

You see our yard isn't like any other
yard in Clark County, it's a show case
for the neighborhood.   We had over
450 folks come tour our yard one year.
We have put our yard on the County's
garden tour a couple times to only have
to pull our site due to neighbors' issues.
When we called into the County to cancel
our obligation we are asked why.  We tell
them and they ask for us to try the next year.
We open our gardens when we have our
annual garage sale and folks just go nuts.
I have had nursery folks come and we have
been told it's great to see what we sell in a
garden of yours.

So if you would like to visit our gardens,
please make an appointment.  Our gardens
are what is classified as a working garden.
We test seeds for growers and have yet to
pull out some of the plants so we are busy
getting them out of the greenhouses.

This past weekend was taking our beloved
B. Shorty's Variegated out of the greenhouse
and putting her in a larger pot.

Here she is in the greenhouse trying to bloom.
When we pulled her out, we strip her of most of her
leaves and pulled her out of her 5 gallon pot that was
in a 5 gallon bucket to make her easy to move.

More photos later.

Have A Great Weekend!

Get out and garden!!  They say
we are going to warm up soon so
get out and enjoy.  One always
feels better when one gets their
hands in the soil!

4/28/2022 Clean up!

As you can see the wood chips are all over!
This all has to be vac up and beings that I
can only be out there for an hour, it will take
time.  There is plenty of damage.

Just love the fact that they stated the company
would take precaution, sorry but none were
taken by the company!

Work like this should never be done while in
the growing season!   It sure shows they don't
care at all.

I have already taken one 64 gallon bin of wood
chips off the yard.  Why remove?   These types
of chips can smother plants and cause ant to
invade the yard.

5/4/2022

I am glad to report after taking 4 more bags off
the west hosta garden beds I can say I'm at 95%
cleaned up!

Still have some to pick up when and if we do
dry up.  But it looks so much better compared to
what is across the fence!

We still have to fix our fence!  Guess the tree
folks didn't cleanup at all??

Happy Friday!! When You Have Lemons

 Make lemonade!!

It's been a really busy week so
full of excitement!!

Today is a dear friend's birthday
and she has also decided to retire
also!!  Happy Birthday & Happy
Retirement!  Love and Hugs!!

Yesterday, was my first day of
Physical Therapy!!  Ouch!!  She
warned me I would be sore, she
was so right!!  But the sore is a
good thing, getting back to normal.
I truly thank her for adjusting the
crutches to fit better!  She is great!!

I have noticed a couple more folks
have joined the blog, thank you!

I have also notice that folks are
starting to drive by and look.  Drive
byes are great and you can see
the garden from the comforts of
ones car.  If you want to take the
tour, I ask that you make and
appointment, please.  Just leave
a comment and I'll check back
with you if you don't have our
business card to get a hold of me
by email.  The yard is starting to
come alive!

Have a great Friday!!

Not Opening Our Gardens Until It's Cleaned Up!!

We will be unable to open the
gardens until Summer, now that
the west gardens are trashed.

4/27/2022 Having Fun!!

According to the County it's a civil matter
if our neighbor hires someone to remove
their trees and they trash our yard!!
They are responsible for the mess.

What protection was done was our tarping
and trying to protect the plants that are
coming up.  We have told them not to do
removal as our plants were coming up
already.  A previous letter we told them
the best time to remove them would be
when the yard is dormant.

Sure glad they listened!!

One question for everyone.  If you saw
someone not caring how the trees come
down or what it would cause in the line
of damage would you hire this company??

More photos so you can see what our
yard looks like.

Can you tell me how this company
protected our property?   All I saw
was two pieces of plywood up against
my fence.

Tell me how I'm to clean up my
yard after just having knee surgery?
