 I know that the original post was done long

ago and have had some folks request that I

update this.  It's just general information for

those that grow them.  I have been growing

them since 1995 and there is more I can add.

I will say this, one needs to find their own

path and experience these lovely ladies of

the night to understand what they are all 

about.  Pointers were few and far between

when I first started out with these.  I do

thank those that helped me along my path.

The key is education and knowledge in

what you grow.  Each garden is different, 

so each gardener is different. 

Last Call For Seeds!!

I will not be taking requests for seed

after February 1.  What I have left

over will go back into the yard.  

I want to thank those of you that got

your seeds and for the trades.

 It is time to give that up!  Since they

are allowing Trump back into the folds

they have lost my faith in them.

the forces together!!  New study shows

this!  To be truthful, I'm just tried of 

folks being so rude to others!  Glad I

don't live in their perfect worlds!!

Ya know since I have left some of the

social media plat forms life has been so

much nicer!  I miss some of the folks

but ya know your true friends know how

to get ahold of you!  

I have more time to do what I want to do 

and at my age it's time to slow down and 

enjoy what life brings.

More Storms!

 They say we are in for another storm 

this weekend.  Than the weather will 

drop into a day time 30s with nights

into the 20s.  Old Man Winter isn't 

done with us yet.   Do you remember

the late April snow storm we had 

last year after the last date of frost?

As we get closer to the weekend,

they say it should hit tonight!   Teen

temps for the night and mid 30s

for about 5 days.  It's been nice to go

out in the yard with 50 degrees so I'm

seeing stop pop out of the ground

already!    Poor things are going to 

get a blast of cold!

Time to bump up the temps in both

greenhouses to save what didn't 

freeze when we had the power outage

for 6 hours a few weeks back with 

the wind storm that hit.

Life is what it is when you live in

the PNW where the power lines

are above the ground on poles.

Darn it's cold out there with the 

clear skies.  Plenty of sunshine but

cold!!

Just Riding Out The Storms!

Back to back storms and winds!  This last

storm the winds were from the south and

west so no evergreen junk.  DH was up on

the shed removing the limbs and found

damage!  The limbs were up there for a 

few days due to I'm not climbing the 

ladder.   

More rain to come, storm 2 to hit tomorrow

and Wed storm 3 is to hit.  All we can do

is hope the wind stay away. 

Well Wed is here and the storm didn't

get here yet.  Thursday is the big day

as the storm is headed north and not 

a direct hit to CA.  They say the wind

will be out of the East again so we are

getting prepared for the yard to be 

trashed again!

Tribute to Hamlin

 

After putting the Christmas 

lights away and then seeing 

what happened during the game

the only way to pay tribute is 

to put the Red and Blue lights

out.  Yes, three fairy lights are

for Hamlin's number!

I think more Red lights are 

needed.

I had to move the lights inside

due to the cold and rain.  I will

keep them in the window until

Hamlin gets back on the playing

field, showing support!!
