Also known as Flowering Maple!  I 

lost half of the collection this past 

winter when we lost power for 6 hours

in the cold snap.  Those plants around 

the rainbarrel are what survived.  I have

seeds and plan to wait after this next

heat wave to start them.  Weather has

been really strange!  Hope you enjoy!

6/27/2023 Fireworks Going Off in Felida!

and ban fireworks!!

We have had at least 6 M80s go 

off and it's not the 4th of July.

Some folks just don't abide by

the laws!  

Here is what has been picked up

out of our yard so far.

Our poor Sable finds comfort in the hall 

bath room where she has been for the 

past few days.  I took her out this evening

after she eat and one of those M80s went 

off.  She ran for the garage and then straight

to the tub!

The Blog Hit 40,000 This AM!

 Had a busy morning in the garden

and came inside to find the 40,000

when I checked in!  Thank you to 

Singapore, Denmark and USA for

your hit count of visits this morning!

Thank you everyone!!   I was able to

get more photos this morning after

watering.

New Additions!

This year I decided to not add to 

the garden but needed to get some 

dirt so off we went early in the morning.  

Got my dirt and walk around the big 

box store.  I notice a man following me 

around, it's got to be our Sable that got his

attention!   Sure enough it was as we 

were in line together at the check out stand.   

He laughed and was surprised I only picked 

up a tomato plant beside my dirt and lady 

bugs!  He thought I would have a cart full 

by how I was looking at everything.

Then my husband spoke up, you should 

see her yard and now she is running out of

space!  I just smiled and said I try to find 

plants that I don't have and here they carry 

the plants for the area.  I'm a tropical type.

Plus the care of their plants is lacking!  You 

want healthy plants now ones that are 

dried out or miss labeled.  That

opened up a whole new conversation! 

So we decided to go to another one of 

my favorite stops for plants.  There is 

where I picked up just 3 and DH was

shocked!
